Overview

Mannic — Movies & TV Shows (“Mannic,” “we,” “us”) is a free entertainment discovery app for movies, TV series, and anime. This policy explains what information is processed when you use our iOS app and how we handle it.

We designed Mannic to collect as little personal information as possible. Most data stays on your device.

Information we collect

On your device

Watchlist, preferences, and app settings you choose
Optional display name you enter during setup
Local notification history and similar in-app data

Content services

Public movie, TV, and anime metadata from licensed APIs such as TMDB and Jikan
We do not receive your personal profile from those services

Ads & privacy choices

Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT) status if you respond to the prompt
Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent choices for ads
Ad interaction and device identifiers processed by Google AdMob

Advertising — Google AdMob only

Mannic is supported by ads. We use Google AdMob as our only advertising partner. AdMob may collect and use data such as device identifiers, IP address, app interactions, and ad performance metrics to deliver and measure ads.

Before ads load, iOS users may see an ATT prompt and a Google UMP consent form where required. If you deny tracking where applicable, we limit ad personalization in line with your choices and applicable law.

Push notifications

If you enable notifications, we may send release reminders, watchlist updates, and similar alerts. Notification permission is optional and can be turned off in iOS Settings at any time.

Operate and improve the app experience
Display content, watchlists, stats, and recommendations
Deliver and measure advertisements through AdMob
Send optional notifications you have agreed to receive
Respond to support requests

Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the app:

Google AdMob — advertising
Google Firebase — messaging and related infrastructure, if enabled
TMDB / Jikan — public entertainment metadata requests

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users and Mannic.

Data retention

On-device data remains until you delete it or remove the app. Advertising partners may retain data according to their own policies. You can reset ad-related choices through iOS privacy settings and in-app consent flows where available.

Manage tracking and ad personalization in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security
Disable notifications in iOS Settings or inside Mannic
Clear local app data by deleting and reinstalling the app

Children

Mannic is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

International users

Mannic may be used in multiple regions. By using the app, you understand that information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate, including the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Mannic after an update means you accept the revised policy.
